You can print and reprint any prescription that has been entered into a patient's record. The prescription printout includes dosage, date, refills, and instructions or notes for the patient.

Note: Printing and reprinting prescriptions requires the "Patient Prescriptions, Print" security right.
To print or reprint a prescription
In the Patient Prescription dialog box, select the prescription that you want to reprint.
Do one of the following:
Click the Print button to view the menu, and then click Print Rx.
Click the View Prescription button . The Edit Patient Prescription dialog box appears. Click Print.
If applicable, do one of the following:
If the Password - Patient Prescriptions, Print dialog box appears, user verification has been assigned to the "Patient Prescriptions, Print" task. Do one of the following:
If your user account has been granted the "Patient Prescriptions, Print" security right, enter your credentials in the User ID and Password boxes, and then click OK.
If your user account has not been granted the "Patient Prescriptions, Print" security right, have a user with permission temporarily override this restriction so you can print a prescription this one time. The overriding user enters his or her credentials in the User ID and Password boxes and then clicks OK.
If a message appears, informing you that you do not have rights to this operation, your user account has not been granted the "Patient Prescriptions, Print" security right. To have a user with permission temporarily override this restriction so you can print a prescription this one time, do the following:
On the message, click Yes.
In the Password - Patient Prescriptions, Print dialog box, the overriding user enters his or her credentials in the User ID and Password boxes and then clicks OK.
The prescription is sent to the printer that has been specified in Office Manager for printing prescriptions; or, if a printer was set up in the Prescriptions Setup, the prescription is sent to that printer.
